Altar Server Ministry

Are you looking for a way:

to make the Mass more meaningful?

to serve your Lord?

to see the Mass from a whole different perspective?

Become an altar server!

Servers can be children or adults, male or female, (even a whole family). Children who serve without an adult must be at least 8 years old, have celebrated their First Eucharist, and commit to attend Mass regularly.

Please contact Jaime Paredes at:
stmartinaltarservers2023@gmail.com or 619-322-2154, for more information and to schedule a training session.

Parents are responsible for getting youths to the training and to church early when they serve.

Build-A-Miracle Ministry

St. Martin of Tours, has significantly changed the lives of 8 Tijuana families by funding and helping them construct a new home. They are poor financially, but not poor in spirit, hope and determination to do better for their families.

Some of the Duties of a Sacristan

The sacristan lays out the vestments and anything else needed for the Mass or celebration, such as cruets, chalices, ciboria, linens, oils, processional crosses, candles, and torches.

The sacristan in harmony with the pastor also makes sure that the vestments, church furnishings, liturgical vessels and decorative objects are kept in good condition and, if necessary, sent for gilding or repair.

The sacristan ensures that the things necessary for worship are always available. There should be a ready supply of fresh hosts and of duly authorized wine, sufficient clean purificators, corporals, hand towels, incense, and coals.

Ushers & Greeters Ministry

Volunteers are welcome to help assist in welcoming parishioners, seating, take up collections, and other tasks for the Mass.

If interested please call the rectory as all requests must first go through the Pastor.
